UFlex founded by Ashok Chaturvedi, who with the introduction of first-ever unit pouches for mouth fresheners, shampoos, candies and tomato ketchup in India, redefined packaging experience for FMCG products.
1985
Started Engineering Business.
1986
Added Printing Cylinders Business to its portfolio.
1989
Company went public with its IPO.
1994
Established Packaging Films business with its first-ever BOPET (Biaxially Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate) line in Noida, India.
Launched Chemicals business.
1996
Its first BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) Packaging Films line commissioned at Noida plant in India.
1998
PET Chips Plant set up at Malanpur, India.
2002
First Packaging Films Metallizer installed in Noida, India.
2003
First CPP (Cast Polypropylene) Packaging Films line commissioned at Noida plant.
2004
Diversified into Holography business
2005
Forayed beyond India for its Packaging Films business to form the global brand FlexFilms International and commissioned its first international plant with a BOPET line in Dubai, UAE.
2007
Expanded its footprints within India with the set-up of a Flexible Packaging and Holography plant in Jammu.
2008
Woven Polypropylene (WPP) bags’ manufacturing commenced in Noida, India.
2009
Started production in USMCA region with the launch of its first BOPET line at its manufacturing plant in Altamira, Mexico.
2010
Launched African operations with the commencement of a BOPP Packaging Films line at its manufacturing plant in October City, Egypt.
2011
Expanded its operations in Egypt with the commissioning of a CPP and BOPET Packaging Films line.
2012
Lives the European dream with the launch of its Poland plant at Września that started operations of its first BOPET film line.
2013
USA manufacturing plant took-off with the commissioning of a BOPET Packaging Film line in Kentucky.
2017
First Indian company to manufacture Aseptic Liquid Carton Packaging with a plant commissioned in Sanand, Gujarat.
2020
Sets its foot into Russia with the start of a BOPET Film manufacturing plant in Stupino, Moscow region.
Expands its operations in Poland with the commissioning of its second BOPET Line. With this commissioning, UFLEX becomes the largest BOPET manufacturer in European Union.
2021
Expands its operations in Egypt with the commissioning of its second BOPP Line.
Commissions first BOPP line in Europe with a new packaging film facility in Rétság, Hungary.
Commissions first-of-its-kind 10.6 meter wide BOPET packaging films plant at Ogun State in Nigeria.
