{"id":622,"date":"2013-10-29T06:06:29","date_gmt":"2013-10-29T06:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uflexltd-packaging.com\/?p=622"},"modified":"2022-04-12T12:17:56","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T12:17:56","slug":"uflex-invests-400-million-to-expand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uflexltd.com\/blog\/uflex-invests-400-million-to-expand\/","title":{"rendered":"UFlex Invests $400 Million To Expand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>India&#8217;s $1 billion film and <strong>flexible packaging<\/strong> maker <strong>UFlex Ltd<\/strong>. has given a nod to a plan that includes expanding plants and establishing new factories in India and overseas.<\/p>\n<p>The firm, one of the largest and fastest-growing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uflexltd.com\/packaging-films.php\"><strong>flexible packaging firms in India<\/strong><\/a>, has drawn up a three-year growth strategy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The expansion plan \u2026 envisages opening new plants in new locations inside and outside India,&#8221; said President R.K. Jain, in an interview with Plastics News at the company&#8217;s headquarters in Noida, near Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have earmarked an investment of $400 million,&#8221; said Jain.<\/p>\n<p>The move is aimed at doubling the company&#8217;s annual revenue to $2 billion in four to five years.<\/p>\n<p>In the past three years, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uflexltd.com\/\"><strong>UFlex<\/strong><\/a> has opened plants in Egypt, Poland and the U.S., besides India, and expanded its Mexico facility.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have now consolidated and stabilized our operations in these markets and we are now ready for next phase of expansion,&#8221; he said. <strong>UFlex<\/strong> has not identified sites for the proposed plants. &#8220;We have no plant in the Far Eastern market, so that could be one of the regions on our radar,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uflexltd.com\/\"><strong>UFlex<\/strong><\/a> controls about a 30-35 percent share of India&#8217;s $4 billion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uflexltd.com\/\"><strong>packaging industry<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India&#8217;s $1 billion film and flexible packaging maker UFlex Ltd. has given a nod to a plan that includes expanding plants and establishing new factories in India and overseas.
